Biombo Mask
Biombo people live in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, south of the junction of the Lulua and Kasai Rivers. The mask surface have dark and white triangles, The head is often decorated by three-prongs, symbolizing the typical Biombo hair style. Biombo masks are almost always dyed red.
The masks were worn in circumcision rites.

Chi Wara Antelope
From the Bambara Tribe of Southwest Mali, this sculpture is made from one piece of wood. As we rubbed, we discovered intricately hammered pieces of metal appearing to be brass on the body and face. The antlers are ringed with another metal.
